{"id":356,"date":"2012-07-10T07:34:08","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T06:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lydgate.org\/blogs\/?p=356"},"modified":"2012-07-10T07:34:08","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T06:34:08","slug":"speaking-in-tongues-part-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lydgate.org\/blogs\/2012\/07\/speaking-in-tongues-part-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Speaking in Tongues &#8211; Part II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Part I I said I would tell you how you can make a difference to the way your language is represented in UserBase, without it becoming an unsustainable time-sink.\u00a0 Part II looks in more detail to help you find the right slot for your contribution.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing we ask is that you use natural language.\u00a0 Please do not simply paste in Google Translate output.\u00a0 For all that it&#8217;s very helpful when you have to read a language you don&#8217;t understand, it cannot give output that will sound natural to your readers.\u00a0 Similarly, if you see an English idiom that simply doesn&#8217;t make sense when translated literally, choose some expression that represents the same idea.<\/p>\n<p>So &#8211; how can you contribute?<\/p>\n<h4>You have very little time but might manage a few minutes tomorrow &#8211;<\/h4>\n<p><em>There is the perfect task for you.\u00a0 Take a look at <a title=\"UserBase Categories - Language links\" href=\"http:\/\/userbase.kde.org\/Translation_Help_Needed\"> http:\/\/userbase.kde.org\/Translation_Help_Needed<\/a> and follow the link to your language.\u00a0 To help get consistency we need translations for category names.
